Water sliding with friends

Birthday Slide
Uncle Nick and gma & papa Karren gave the kids a Huge water slide for all of their birthdays. It is a blast! My kids were so excited. Connor and Hannah can't get down the slide fast enough to go back down. Wyatt wasn't sure what to think of it. His idea of fun is squirting people with the water guns on the bottom of the slide. I finally made him go down a few times with me and I'm still not sure if he liked it. We sure had a blast anyway!!

NCAA Track Finals in Eugene OR
I took a short trip to Oregon the first of June. Todd, Kristin, Brenda, Glen and I went to Eugene,OR to watch Nick run at the NCAA Nationals. We are so proud of him for making it so far. We made it there but didn't make it to finals there. He placed, I believe, 16th in the Nation. What an amazing experience to watch him run. We had a great trip. It was short and sweet! In another post I will show you our AMAZING drive up the coast of Oregon.

Madi's 9th Birthday
Wow I can't believe that she has turned 9. Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday that we had her. And now she is going into the 4th grade. We have our struggles but we love her so much! Our family would not be complete with out her. She keeps us going and adds so much joy. We are so proud of her! Happy Birthday Madi Roo!
She had 2 parties this year again. We had a family dinner on her birthday. We were suppose to go to the water slide on her birthday but we ended up laying sod instead. She was so good to understand why we couldn't go. I know it was so hard. We all wanted to go but things happen and change. We will have to make up for it later. Thanks so much to our family for celebrating this special day with her.
We had a friends party the next week! We had a ball! We Tye dyes shirts, ate cake and ice cream, decorated Tye dye cup cakes and played games. She loved every minute of it!

Sod
We finally got some sod ordered and put it in a few weeks ago. We are loving every minute of it. It only took us 3 days to lay 28,000 sq ft of sod. We were exhausted but it is so worth it! It came in huge rolls and required a roller to lay it out. Kristin and I are pretty proud of ourselves, we laid 5 rolls of it by our selves while the rest went to chase our cows that had gotten out.
It changes the look of the house so much! I can't wait to get all the flower beds and trees in.
Thanks you so much to our friends and family who came to help us out! We owe you all big time!

Wes's Tournament
Wes went to his fishing tournament in Idaho over Fathers day weekend. Travis and Wes took 5the place. They have placed in the top 5 in this tournament the last 5 years! I do'nt have any pictures to show since I think no girls are allowed on this weeklong trip but we are so proud that they had a great time and did so well.

Softball
This was Madi's first year playing softball. She loved every minute of it. She was picked at the end of season to be on the all star team. Now that is what is keeping us busy at the time. She had practice every night for 2 hours and has tournaments in SLC for 3 days, 3 weekends in a row. Wow that's alot of playing but she is loving it! We are so proud of her for sticking it out and loving it. She is already improving so much! I can't wait to see them at the first tournament! GO BASIN BRAWLERS!!

Helping out papa & first Harley ride
Connor had a busy fathers day weekend! Papa had a big tree that needed cut apart to haul away and he knew just the right helper for the job. Connor knew he was big enough to tackle the job! It was so fun to watch him, he thought he was so big and knew he was just like his papa. He even asked for some glasses to protect his eye. What a smart little kid!
The girls got in on the action as well. Madison liked it for a minute then was done helping. Hannah didn't like how the saw vibrated her hands. That is a little to much work for a princess. She helped a minute then was done as well. Good thing Connor stuck around until the very last piece.
Connor also took his first Harley ride. He has loved motorcycles for a very long time. He doesn't miss a single one that drives down the rode. Well he finally decided that is was OK to ride papa's bike. It wasn't' too loud any more. He was ready to go with his helmet, glasses and ear plugs. After the first time around the block, we couldn't get him off. He kept getting the helmet and glasses and telling pap he was ready to go again. He did that all weekend. I'm not sure who enjoyed the ride more though, Connor? or Papa?
