My sick babies...

What a week this has been! Hannah and Connor have both been really sick. They both have been running fevers off and on since last Thursday. Nothing to bad though. They would go to about 99 and go back down. Well Monday Hannah woke up early sick and her fever kept going higher and higher. I could not get it to break with Tylenol and Motrin so I decided to take her over to the ER. I knew with it being a Monday there was no way we could get an appt. in the clinic. So by the time we got to the ER, her temp was 104.5. They did did blood work, chest x-rays and a UA. They couldn't really find anything wrong with her but the Dr said he knew something was there because her temp was so high. So he checked her out all over again and decided that she was starting to get pneumonia. (She was not happy with them at all with having to do the blood work in the first place. She was crying so hard that she threw up on both of us while my cousin was drawing her blood.) So when the Dr said her wanted to do an IV with antibiotics, she really was not happy. The nurse told her he didn't have a needle and she was ticked when he pulled it out! It made me so sad to see her go through that. It is so hard to be strong when your baby is hurting so bad. Anyway, she had the IV in until Tuesday. I had to take her over Tuesday for another round of antibiotics and then she was thrilled to get her "cast off".

Going to bed with mommy! We had to put a pillow between us to protect her cast!

Her Cast!

In the hospital trying to get her fever to break!

She is now doing so much better. She is not 100% but so much better. And to make matters worse, she is scheduled to have her tonsils out on Monday. Poor Hannah!

Right before taking Hannah back on Tuesday, Connor started to get a higher fever. It was 101 when I left home and it was 103.7 by the time we got to the DR office. He has a double ear infection. Yuck..Yuck...Yuck! He does not like to take medicine at all so the next 10 days are not going to be fun for him. He is already doing better as well and he slept through the night last night. He slept the clock around which was wonderful for both of us!

Watching Cartoons and trying to get better.

We pray that next week will be better and the tonsil thing will not be to bad. We have a lot of things to get better for this month.

Here is a video of Madison. She has been practicing her back hand springs FOREVER! She was having a hard time landing on her feet! She is landin on her feet now and loves to do back flips on the tramp. I am so proud of her. She is so brave.

Fun weekend....

We had a great time this last weekend! We headed to SLC to run a few errands and take my mom to lunch for her birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!! We went to lunch at Cafe Rio and had fun shopping a little after!

We then headed to Provo to go to dinner with Nick (my bro-in-law.) We missed his track meet on Friday and planned on watching him on Saturday (which was canceled due to the rain.) On Friday he did great though. I wish we would have been there to watch him. He took first place!!! He is ranked 2nd in the nation right now. We are so proud of him. Anyway, we went to dinner with Nick and his teammate Andrew, Wes's parents and Todd & Kristin.

We had a yummy dinner and then checked into the hotel and went swimming. It was so much fun! Connor loved the water. He was jumping from the edge like a pro to Wes. Wyatt didn't like the water at all at first. He finally warmed up to the swimming and had a good time. Hannah loves it as long as she is holding onto someones neck. Madison is a little fishy, although still a little scared of the water in her face. Hopefully now that she likes it more, the swimming lessons will start to pay off.

We woke up early to have breakfast with Nick and Andrew before they headed to the meet. Then Kristin and I took the kids to get pictures done at Kiddie Kandids. We were a little worried about how they would turn out. 3 of the 4 kids were sick most of the weekend with fevers and snotty noses. Amazingly though, they turned out wonderful.

Wyatt left us with an unforgetable lunch experience! You don't want to hear details! We watched it rain and were sad that the meet got cancelled. Now we have to wait until the end of May to watch Nick in Oregon.

We only got 1 picture of Nick and my mom all weekend, but Madison made sure we have lots of her, Hannah and Andrew. They absolutely love Andrew (and Ben who we didn't get to see this weekend) to death. Andrew is amazing with the girls. They have so much fun with him. We had only been home a few hours and Hannah said she was already missing her Andrew.

Here is our Nick, watching us swim! Maddie, Me, and Hannah

We have been...busy...busy..busy

Here I go playing catch up again!

We had a great easter and now we have way to much candy! We had a small family get together with the Karren side. We have so much fun with them. They are such a great family to have. There were a few missing and we missed the dearly. We had lots of yummy food and had our easter egg hunt in the rain. The kids had a blast playing with all their cousins. We also went to see the new Hannah Montan movie. It was so cute! I would go see it again. Thanks Uncle Dan for having all of us over in your new shop.

Connor soaked after the hunt.

Ty and Madi

Uncle Dan and Hannah

Part of the Karren family. We missed a few of them.

We had a great day on Easter. My mom was here was us and we were so happy to have her. We had dinner at Wes's parents house and an egg hunt there. Connor could care less about easter this year. Who cares about money filled eggs when you have a tractor to play with.

This is the loot just from grandma and papas house. Holy Crap!

Wyatt

A few days later we we able to spend time with cousins. We rode the four wheelers and fed the animals at Rhett & Megans house. The kids had fun feeding grain to the horses, brushing the goats, getting the eggs from the chickens, holding the bunnies and watching the new baby chick.

Brylee and Hannah with bunnies.

All the kids and Megan lined up feeding the horses.

Yesterday Wes and I had a long busy day in the city picking stuff out for the house! It was an amazing day. I thought we would pick out totally different things and for the most part we picked out the same stuff. We found the best carpet ever. It is going to be so soft. I am so excited to start building.

Coloring easter eggs

Oh we had fun this year coloring the easter eggs. All 3 of the kids were funny!
Madison kept tattling of Connor! Hannah wanted to do all the eggs herself and Connor just did one egg the whole time! He took it from the blue to the green and back again. Before we were done, Connor was covered in dye! It was running down his legs and his hands were green!
This is always so much fun! I love the watch what the kids want to do with them.
And yes I know Connor had boggers! (Thats gross) We couldn't keep it clean.
Sorry I know there is a ton of pics, I just loved them.

We have been invaded by squirrels & chipmunks!

We had a swarm of chipmunks and squirrels invade our house last night! It happened in seconds and they didn't even make a peep making their mess! They left peanuts, almonds, and raisins all over the living room and all over my couch! We need some serious varmit control in these parts of Utah! Beware!!!!

Oh wait! I think I found the culprit! It was Connor!

***UPDATE**** On Easter Bunny

Here is video to prove that Connor does "not like it."

This is hilarious!

Saturday, April 4, 2009

Here comes Peter Cotton Tail........

Hopping down the Walmart trail! Ok -we saw the Easter Bunny at Walmart today! We were the first ones in line to see him so we had to wait just a few mintues!

The girls were excited but Hannah said "Why is it not a real rabbit?!?"

Connor on the other hand, was excited at first. But as soon as that dang rabbit hopped out, Connor FREAKED. I think I have scratches on my neck to prove it! He was screaming..."NO...MOM!" "NO...MOM!" "NO...MOM!" We at least had to get a picture and connor would not take his eyes off the rabbit.

After he kept saying..."I don't like it"......I think it was so funny! I know I'm a mean mom for that! But it was hilarious! I'm not sure he will be to excited about the Easter Bunny coming to our house this year!
