Crazy days...

Wow we had a crazy day yesterday! First of all we had the last baseball games of the season. I should get mom of the year award because I didn't even take my camera to their little banquet where they get their trophies. I will have to take a picture of them later with their trophies.

As soon as the games were over, we rushed home to clean the house before our company arrived. My parents and my brother and Crystal came out for Madison's birthday. My dad brought out their bikes and that is what they did all afternoon. We then had a birthday party for Madison and Wes. We had lots of yummy food and cake and ice cream. Madison got alot of neat stuff for her birthday. We gave her money a few weeks ago and I took her to SLC and she bought a skateboard, camera, and few other little things. My parents got her a new bike (very nice). Wes's parents and sister got her money. And Lance and crystal got her a way cute shirt and modeling clay. She was very hard to shop for this year and it turned out great. She loved everything. She can't wait to wear the shirt from Lance and Crystal.

We then headed out to our property to show Lance and Crystal where we are building. It is about 5 miles from our house now. Madison, my dad, and Lance rode all the way out there on the bikes. Madison was tired by the time they got out there but my dad said she kept up great and never complained. They rode back in the car with us.

We then came home for some Fireworks. We love fireworks! We had fun and the kids loved the sparklers. Wyatt didn't really like the fireworks but hopefully now he will be broke in for the 4th.

We had such a great time with family here. Wes, Lance and my dad taught Hannah how to ride her bike without training wheels. She loves it now and wants to go all the time. And Lance taught her how to tie her shoes. We have the best family ever. Everyone is so good to help the kids and encourage them to try new things. I have been trying to talk Hannah into taking her training wheels off for weeks and all it took was grandma to walk beside her and lots of cheering on the side lines.

Connor also got a new bike and if you have little kids you seriously have to get one of these bikes before you buy a regular bike. These bikes don't have any pedals so it teaches them to balance before anything. Amazing!! Connor has been riding it since Friday night and he almost keeps his feet up the whole time and will just coast. They are awesome. He loves it and loves to wear his new helmet as well.

Thanks to all our family for helping Madison and Wes have a great birthday party! Happy Birthday to my baby. I can't believe she is 8. Time flies when your having fun! I love you so much Madison. We have our fair share of fights and arguments but I love you dearly! You are a wonderful daughter and big sister. Happy Birthday to Wes on July 2. I love you so much!

Hunting rabbits..

Wes wanted to go hunting for rabbits last night. We had a great time. The kids crawl around in the truck with me driving and Wes and Madison stand in the back on the look out. Wes saw a few rabbits and they were very spooked. Wes was sad he didn't get to shoot one with his bow. We did see 2 horny toads. Madison spotted the first one and was excited. Her and Hannah both held it for a minute. Connor wanted nothing to do with it. Wes put it on his shirt and Connor was trying to back away. I took a bunch of cool sunset pictures with my phone. I think I took about 50 of the sunset. It was just so pretty and my phone did a dang good job.It was fun to get out of the house and have some family time.

Wes & Hannah made up a song last year to sing while we hunt for rabbits. I will see if I can get her to sing it on video and put it on here. It is so funny!

Sorry I can't get any of the pictures to rotate! Ugh! Oh well!

I love this picture of Wes's silhouette & the sunset.

Connor hated this darn toad.

Wes & his friend Travis Grant fished the tournament in Idaho last weekend and took 3rd place. They fish at Salmon Falls Reservoir near Twin Falls, ID (I think). Congrats to them. They were so excited. They took 3rd and only brought in 3 fish the whole tournament. Does that tell you how hard the fishing was? Wes said it rained the whole time and they froze their butts off. But I know they both had a blast and they can't wait for next year. Last year they took 1st, so hopefully next year they can regain that title. They won plaques and Travis got one for big fish on Sunday. They won enough money to cover their trip plus some. So they are both very Happy!

Funnies!

Kristin reminded me last night of something the girls said to each other when we were camping a few weeks ago. I just had to post. For those of you who haven't met hannah, she is very sarcastic and serious at the same time. Its hilarious! So anyway...

Madison and Hannah had slept of the couch in grandmas trailer. Madison woke up in the morning and said:
M: "I had the best dream last night"

H: " If it was so good, then why did you have me hold your hand?"

Ok- thats all they said but if you can picture hannah saying that, it is hilarious! She is such a funny girl. Here is another one she said awhile back to her dad.

H: (finds a nice new shiny dime and penny on the counter and hands it to her dad) "Here is the money you made dad!"

Mom & Dad: with puzzled looks on our faces?!?!?!? Moments later I bust up laughing. When Wes leaves to go to work, I would tell the kids that he was going to make money so that is what Hannah thought he actually did. Too funny!

Here is one for Madison a few years ago. I was pregnant with Connor and she would come with me to my Dr appts. I was talking to the Dr one day about getting my tubes tied. Fast forward to the next appt and everyone she see and talks to in the mean time. " My mom is getting her tubes twisted." Can you imagine the look on the Drs face when he realizes what she is talking about? He laughs for many times after that. Also one day this is a conversation that she had with my Dr.

Dr: "Madison, how are doing today?"
M: "I'm ok. I've been having a tummy ache but I don't think I've had to many contractions, so I am good."

Ok so I guess she paid very close attention to every detail I had in my appts.

Relay for Life and Baseball

Last weekend was the Relay for Life. We did a family team and is was alot of fun. I have had 2 aunts, Loya and Kathleen, who have had breast cancer and they both were able to come walk with us. It was so neat to have them there. We decorated a bunch of the luminary bags a few weeks before the Relay and had a ball doing them as well. I can't wait for next year and hopefully we have more family members who can make it to come walk with us. I forgot to count how many laps we did but my cousin Michelle and I walked until 2:30am. My cousins Melanie and Emily started walking later on in the night after they made it and walked all night. The weather as first was cold and rainy. the rain finally stopped but the luminary ceremony and was decent after that. I wish I would have brought warmer clothes. Thanks to my aunt Peggy's, uncle. He brought down his camp trailer for us to sleep in.

Some of the bags we decorated.

My mom and my Aunt Loya ( she was going through chemo

last year and this time and I am so thankful she is still here

with us and able to participate in the Relay)

Me and Loya decorateing bags.

Family camp! Ha Ha Everyone was cold.

The next morning I left the Relay early to make it to the girls baseball games. This was their first game of the year. It was fun to watch both of them. Madison is an awesome hitter and Hannah just cracks us up. She has a little to much princess in her but she had a blast. She hit the ball a few times and then didn't know what to do next. It was so fun watching her. Madison loves it so much and can hit the ball better that some of the boys on her team. She also runs as fast as she can around the bases. As soon as Hannah's game was done Connor said it was his turn to wear her shirt and hat and play.

Do you have any bad habits?

Do you have any bad habits you want to break? I think this is a half way through the year New years Resolution. Since they never work, I'm doing this.

Anyway...I have had alot of drama going on here lately. Mainly it leads to a bunch of us gossiping! I know I shouldn't do it but I do so I am going to change that. I HATE drama and I swear this town should be the capital for it.

I am making a change right now. I am going to not gossip for a week and see how much better I feel. I know it will be awesome. This means I may not be able to make or receive calls to a few friends but it is worth it. I saw a quote on some one elses blog (I wish I could find it again) and it is awesome.

Great minds talk about ideas, Average minds talk about things, Small minds talk about other people. –Unknown

I also saw on this blog that it is not good to share good news as well because it is not your news to share. Makes perect sense! Here it to a better week!!! Gossip FREE!

Where do I even start???

May is a blur! We had so many things going on. We had lots of thing going with the kids and they even had to miss several activities because there was so much. Feel free to read on if you choose. Most of this is mainly documentation for me.

I posted about Hannah getting her tonsils out. She did really good. She was home eating the same day and for the most part didn't have alot of pain. I actually made her take the pain meds for a week after just to make sure she was OK. She really only needed it in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning. The rest of the month is a different story. She has been really sassy. I'm not sure if she doesn't feel good or what but she can fly off the handle in seconds. I know she is way to early for hormones but that is what it reminds me of. We have been going to a lady that does "Body Talk" so I am hoping that Terri can help her. I'm not sure how much more of her being such a stinker I can take.

We have made numerous trips to the city to pick out stuff for our house. Hopefully we will start building by the end of June to first part of July. I am thrilled! I can't wait. It seems like this day would never come. It had also been great that Wes and I have actually picked out most of the same stuff for the house. Of course there are a few things that we don't agree on but they are minor little things. I am going to miss living in Wes's grandparents house. It is an old house and has lots of character and memories but I am also excited for new things too. That will be another post. I have already starting thinking of lots of little things I will miss and lots I won't.

I posted too about my brothers wedding. It was beautiful and I am happy for Lance and Crystal. They have been together for 8 years and we have had a long road but I do love them both and wish them nothing but the very best! Its hard to believe that my little bro is married and will be starting his own family!

The girls had their year end tumbling program. They both did great. Madison got nervous and decided not to do her back hand spring. I wish she would have. She is doing it really well and almost has 2 down in a row. I am so proud of her. Hannah also learned so much this year in tumbling. She was now somewhat do a cartwheel. She worked so hard of them and it has paid off. I am also so proud of her as well.
The girls at their tumbling review!
Hannah also graduated from preschool! My baby is going to kindergarten. I am so sad. I will really miss having her home. She is such a big help with Connor. She is so excited to go to the big school with her sister. It just doesn't seem possible that she will be 5. CRAZY!!!!
Hannah spelling her name at graduation!
Her pictures before graduation! She took me all
around the yard to take pictures.

We also went to Eugene, OR to watch Nick run at the regional NCAA track championships. He did awesome! We are so proud of him. He took 3rd out off all the western US colleges. Is was so cool to watch him run so fast and keep up with the fast guys! I hate to run so they all run fast to me. Anyway, he did such a great job. He will run at NCAA Nationals in 2 weeks in Arkansas. We had lots of fun in Eugene besides watching Nick. We went to Chucky Cheese one day and I'm not sure who had more fun. Wes and Todd or the kids?? Its a close call. We would love to go back there someday and see more of the country! (To Eugene that is.) It was BEUATIFUL!!

I want to edit this picture a little in photoshop.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them.

Hannah had her glasses like this most of the weekend!

We have been camping already this year and it was fun as well. The water at the lake was still a little to col dto swim but the kids did play in it a little. We played with cousins that weekend and had a blast as well.

We are definatly enjoying having some warm weather. We love to play outside. I have planted a new flower that I am trying to grow and I hope it does well. It is kindof a messy little thing but cute as a button as well.

This new flower I'm trying to grow!

The girls are signed up for Tball and baseball. I think we wasted out money on the little princess to play Tball. She wanted to play and now when we practice she does not want to hit the ball. She told her grandma that "princess' don't hit the ball hard." Um ok! What a nut! We will see how it goes. Madison and Connor are another stroy they both move to play. Connor loves to hit the ball off the Tee. He hits it as hard as he can and then laughs. He loves it. Madison is really good too. She does not like her mom to play though. She told my dad that I throw like a girl. My dad laughed at that statement. Must be why I was a dancer and not a baseball player. I can't wait to see how good she does this year.

Well I think that is about all! I really do need to try to keep up and then you wouldn't have such a long boring post to look at!
