Connor's Birthday party

We had Connor's birthday party last weekend! And we had so much fun!
We had a little lunch, then cake and ice cream. He was so funny! He totally didn't really like his cake. I made him a cake to look like a sheep. It turned out so cute! All he wanted to do was eat the marshmellows off one at a time! Grandma Brenda and I both stuck a hand in the cake to see if he would dig in. No luck! He was just shaking his hand trying to get off the icing. He also just watched the other kids open his presents. He just wanted to play with them when they were open. After all the excitement, Papa Kent rescued him from all the kids and was down for a nap in seconds! We had lots of friends and family over and had a ball!

We're Back!!!!
Wow! What a fun trip! And what a fun experience with our children. We just got back from Disney World and a Disney Cruise! We were able to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Our girls were in HEAVEN! Then got to pick out which princess dress, shoes, and crown they wanted. Then they got to pick out which hair style they wanted. Then they were spinkled with pixie dust, to make all their dreams come true. We got see meet many Disney characters, get their autographs and get pictures done with them. I just can not put into words how fun and exciting this trip was. On our cruise we went to Atlantis, in Nassau, Bahamas. The aquariums there are amazing and the beaches are beautiful. Then we were off to Castaway Cay. It is a private island in the Bahamas, owned by Disney. The Disney cruise ships are the only ships allowed there. All I have to say is HEAVEN. This place was amazing. This is also were we spent Connor's 1st Birthday. He had so much fun playing in the sand. I couldn't think of a better way to spend your vacation. I could go on and on about this trip. Hannah still can't believe how many times she saw Cinderella. She can't believe that they have the same dress. She also told us that she now has another favorite princess and that would be "Belle." Madison was more into the rides and shows. She went on a very scary rollar coaster with Wes and I. She cried on it but I think now she had fun. We also got to eat breakfast and dinner with many of the characters, including, Cinderella, the prince, the stepmother, the step sisters, Mickey Mouse, Lilo & Stitch, Mulan, Snow White, Mary Poppins, JoJo & Goliath, Pluto, & Belle. We had so much fun and can't wait to go again in 2 years.

Madison lost her first tooth!
Yeah! Madison has finally lost her first tooth! SHe has thought for about 2 years that her tooth was "wiggly" She just knew it was going to come out. And me being the good mom that I am, have been telling her that if she didn't brush her teeth, then her teeth would fall out. Well that might work for most kids but she has wanted her teeth to fall out for quite some time, so it has been a struggle getting her to brush her teeth. Madison got a letter from the tooth fairy on the day we first noticed that it actually was "wiggly" and the tooth fairy told her to make sure they were sparkly clean so she could put it in the sky outside her bedroom window, to shine with all the other stars. Well since then it is amazing how she brushes her teeth without having to be told.

What a crazy day for Connor!
What a day little mischievous Connor had! First of all after 3 kids and who knows how many diaper rashs my kids have had, I learned a few months ago that corn starch is the best remedy. So I have been keeping a box of it in my little containers under the changing table. Well....Connor can reach them now and is curious as to what is in those little plastic totes. I had just put a brand new box of corn startch in it a few days ago. Well I was on the phone with a friend this morning and folding laundry when Hannah comes in and tells me to come quick. I come around the corner in the kitchen and here sits Connor in a pile of corn starch with a huge grin on his face. He was having the time of his life. Well...that didn't last long. We were late for an appointment and so I had set him down to get dressed and he starting throwing one of his fits that he has picked up and gave himself his very first black eye. I'm sure there will be many more to come.
ALong with the cornstartch from one end of my kitchen to the next, Hannah thought she needed to help him play in it to. SO does anyone know the best way to clean up corn starch. I tried to vaccum, sweep and mop it up and it still keeps coming back. I'mm sure it will just take a while to get it all up.

I've been tagged!
Ok so I've been tagged by a very dear old friend. Well she's not old but we have been friends ever since I can remember.
Here goes......Here are 7 things that I learned in 2007 and 7 new goals for 2008.
Lessons in 2007!
1. It is OK to be happy with everything. Who cares what everyone else thinks. I am in control of my own life.
2. I have learned not to keep thing bottled up! I let it happen twice this year and both times I exploded on 2 peolpe who deserved every bit of it and I felt so good after. I really have learned to let out my feelings when they happen and not to wait until the next time.
3. I can't protect everyone. I guess it is the mother hen in me coming out but, I have felt as though I need to protect my friends and family from things that can be prevented. But I know that they can't grow and learn to protect themselves if I stand in the way.
4. The best receipe for happiness, trust, kindness, and anything is to believe in yourself. This was a hard one to learn.
5. I am a good mother and wife. Since Wes is gone so much, it has been so hard to do things on my own. I many times have doubted my judgement in my choices I make in raising our children. I know I can only do my best and pray that it is the right choice to make. I know I have made the wrong choices in some things but I look at my children and I know they are going to turn out just fine. I know that I am not the perfect mother but I am a great one!
6. Life is fragile! Things can change in a matter of seconds!
7. Stop to smell the roses! Our kids grow way too fast and you have to stop and enjoy each and every minute of it. It seems like yesterday that Madison was born, and she will be 7 years old this year.
Goals for 2008
1. Buy or build a house!
2. Enjoy my kids!
3. Travel to see Wes at work more!
4. Enjoy my new nephew that will be
here in less than a month.
5. Help my sister-in-law as much as
she has helped me.
6. Organize my house better! With 3 kids, I have
lost my touch with organization. I hate not
knowing where little fingers or my own for that
matter, have carried things off to.
7. I am going to try to forgive my brother's girlfriend.
I hope she will meet me half way as well. I think
we both need to work on things.
So since I have so many friends and family on here.....
I tag Laura, Dana, and Dianna!!!!
I also challenged all my other friends who look at my blog
to make one of their own so I can keep in touch better with them well.....

Bowling!!!!
What a fun night! I don't know how long it has been since I have been bowling, but we sure had a great time. I have only bowled a handful of times and Wes' family used to bowl all the time. Plus his mom is even a league. Anyway, we went bowling and had so much fun! Connor even rolled a ball donw a few times. Madison tried to be big and throw the ball like we were and Hannah just liked to watch the ball come back up after rolling it down. Wes and his siter beat the rest of us, and I took last both games. That was just fine with me. I had so much fun and I even got a STRIKE! Yeah!!!

Christmas pictures FINALLY!
We had a great time for Christmas this year! It was very relaxed and wonderful!
My parents came out Christmas Eve and stayed until later Christmas day. My brother also came out Christmas day for a few hours. We all got spoiled! Santa was very good to us again this year! Madison was so much fun this year! She opened all her presents so fast, I don't think she even knows what all she got. Hannah took a bit longer. She wanted to enjoy each and every new toy, and try on all her new clothes. Connor was happy with just one present. He didin't need any others. I think has the the best Christmas yet. The kids were so much fun!
